The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) launched the American-Made Large Animal and Solar System Operations (LASSO) Prize. This competition is designed to assist in developing agrivoltaic projects that involve cattle. Farmers, ranchers, landowners, extension agents, solar developers, product designers, researchers, and cattle agrivoltaic enthusiasts are encouraged to form teams and submit Phase 1 applications by March 6, 2025.
